Christian Natural Health

Christian Natural Health is the podcast that teaches you about natural health from a biblical perspective. I'm Dr. Lauren Deville, a practicing naturopathic physician in Tucson, AZ. In this podcast, my guests and I will cover topics ranging from nutrition, sleep, hormone balancing and exercise, to specific health concerns like hair loss, anxiety, and hypothyroidism. Once a week, I'll include a bonus episode, meditating on a Bible verse or passage. I'll also interweave biblical principles as they apply throughout the podcast--because true health is body, mind, and spirit. Learn more about me at http://www.drlaurendeville.com/

Today's episode focuses on four heavy metals and one element that I threw in for fun: cadmium, mercury, lead, aluminum, and fluoride.

We discuss how you get exposed, tissues the metals concentrate in, conditions they cause, and how to avoid them.

We also talk about how to optimize your body's detox mechanisms!

This episode was inspired by this blog post: http://www.drlaurendeville.com/articles/heavy-metals-theyre/

In this episode, I meditate on Matthew 6:25-34. I jump around a little to Matthew 5, Romans 12, and Galatians 5 to help fill in Jesus' message here, too.

The goal is to teach you how to meditate on scriptures that speak to your own concerns and issues. Listen, adapt, and use for your own meditations on scripture.

There are a few main connections between your thyroid and acne. Namely:

Low thyroid function increases estrogen dominance (both via lower progesterone and lower Sex Hormone Binding Globulin)

Estrogen dominance in turn increases hypothyroidism

Low thyroid decreases Vitamin A production

These aren't pre-scripted meditations: I'm trying to give you an idea of how to meditate on scripture based on what I do, and you can follow along with me too!
